Summary
We are seeking an Assistant Accountant to join our dynamic team at our support centre. This role is crucial in supporting our financial operations and ensuring accurate financial reporting. As an Assistant Accountant, you will contribute to our mission of providing exceptional experiences at our marinas.
Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports
Manage accounts payable and receivable processes
Maintain accurate records using accounting software such as QuickBooks and Sage
Support financial audits and compliance requirements
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient financial operations
Provide insights into financial performance and assist in budgeting processes
Help mentor junior staff in accounting practices
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the finance department
Qualifications
Proven experience in accounting or finance roles
Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, Xero)
Strong understanding of financial management principles
Knowledge of accounts payable and financial accounting practices
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
Strong analytical skills with a focus on problem-solving
Relevant qualifications (e.g., AAT or equivalent) preferred
