As a support to the Financial Controller, your role will involve the following financial functions:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Managing the day to day accounting transactions
Completion of monthly Bank Reconciliation
Reconcile Deposits (Credit Cards, Cash, Gift Vouchers, POS)
Managing Account payable and receivable functions
Managing purchase orders process
Assisting with internal and external audits
Verifying balances in general ledger accounts and rectifying discrepancies
Assisting with month end - including balance sheet reconciliations and journals
Assisting with year-end accounts and group reporting
Assisting the Finance Manager with various tasks, including budgets, records, and statements
End-to-End Payroll Processing
Support systems and process improvement projects
DESIREABLE SKILLS REQUIRED
2+ years proven experience in a similar role
Employment Hero Payroll software experience
Degree in Accounting or Commerce
Ideally studying for Professional Qualification (CPA/CA)
Experience in Xero
Proficiency in Payroll functions and Award Interpretation
Competency with MS Office
Work autonomously across a range of tasks.
Manage multiple competing priorities and meet deadline
Excellent Verbal and written communication skills
