Job Overview:
Duration: May 4, 2026 - December 31, 2026 with the possibility of extension depending on company needs.
We are seeking someone to start on May 4th, 2026 who wishes to grow with our company. We are a small company of 4 enthusiastic and friendly people seeking a fifth member who will help us make and package cheese. This person must be able to work all day on their feet and should value incorporating movement into their work life. This is also an opportunity to learn a trade - cheesemaking - and will involve becoming certified in raw milk handling and food safety. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of our head cheesemaker and must be available on Sundays for a few hours to receive the raw milk from local dairy farms. The working language is English. We especially welcome applications from minority groups, women, recent immigrants, and persons with disabilities.
Duties:
- Be available on Sundays for a few hours midday to receive raw milk from local farms
- Learn the general operations of a cheese manufacturing facility including cheesemaking and ageing
- Wash and sanitize equipment
- Strictly follow food safety protocols
Requirements:
- A cell phone and proficiency in use of email and text messaging
- Attention to detail and strict adherence to safety protocols
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
