Job Overview:
Tummy Box is seeking an enthusiastic and hardworking Assistant Chef to join our vibrant kitchen team. This role offers a hands-on opportunity to gain valuable experience working in a fast-paced environment where we prepare nutritious meals for schools and colleges. The position includes a competitive stipend along with the provision of accommodation and meals.
As an Assistant Chef, you will play a key role in the kitchen, helping to prepare meals for our large-scale operations. Working closely with senior chefs, you’ll develop essential culinary skills while maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene.
Key Responsibilities:
• Meal Preparation: Assist in preparing, cooking, and assembling meals in the kitchen, focusing on both Indian and Continental cuisines.
• Support in Make-line : Work on the make-line, assembling dishes efficiently during peak hours.
• Menu Execution: Execute recipes under the guidance of senior chefs, ensuring that all meals meet Tummy Box’s quality standards.
• Ingredient Management: Help with the preparation of ingredients and ensure all items are stored correctly and safely, in line with food safety protocols.
• Kitchen Maintenance: Assist in maintaining a clean and organized workspace, including the regular cleaning of cooking surfaces and utensils.
• Team Collaboration: Collaborate with the kitchen team to meet daily targets and ensure smooth operation during peak hours.
• Learning Opportunity: Gain experience in all areas of kitchen operations, from preparation to presentation, while improving cooking techniques.

Requirements:

• Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.

• Culinary school background or relevant experience is a plus, but not mandatory.
