We have an opportunity to join our award-winning Facilities Management catering team where you will be providing tasty, nutritious, home-cooked meals made from locally sourced fresh produce.
We are a ‘fresh food’ organisation encouraging children and young people to choose nutritious meals. We are proud to offer a wide choice of healthy options to our children encouraging them to eat well and fuelling their appetite for learning.
We are currently recruiting a Assistant Cook to join our team at Adelaide Primary School, catering for around 300 meals per day.
As an Assistant Cook your role will the Cook to lead the team to deliver an effective catering service operating to the highest standards of food safety.
Your role will require you to prepare, cook and serve meals to students and staff, setting up and the clearing away the dining hall, washing up as well as other supporting the cook with kitchen management duties such as supervision of staff, ordering food, stock taking and administration.
As a valued member of our hardworking team, you will be reliable, dependable and committed to providing healthy wholesome dishes, typically working from 8.45 to 13.15 totalling to 22.5 hrs per week.
This post has the requirement to cover the cooks role in the event of sickness. There is also the requirement of cover at other local schools within the trust. Short term cover overtime is available and mileage will be paid. Long term cover an acting up payment will be made.
No weekend work!
You will work term time only however you will receive equal monthly payments throughout the year.
For this you will be paid £12.85 per hour in addition to annual holiday and Bank Holiday entitlement.
Grade CD has a pay scale of £12.85-£13.47 and with annual reviews you are able to claim the scale.
