The Department of Customer Service (DCS) is searching for a enthusiastic and motivated individual with experience in IT or Cyber Security to join our growing team as an Assistant Cyber Security Analyst. This role is a temporary opportunity until 30 June 2027, with the possibility of extension. In this position, you'll work with a supportive team to strengthen and protect our technology environment through proactive security measures and platform management. You'll have the opportunity to grow your cyber security skills and play a key role in keeping our systems safe.
Benefits
Fantastic 5/6 position in a technical team supporting a variety of enterprise security tools and platforms
Temporary opportunity until end June 2027, with the possibility to extend or make ongoing
Salary range: $99,938 - $110,271 + super, commensurate with experience.
Excellent leave entitlements: 20 days annual leave, up to additional 24 days flexible leave.
Your responsibilities will include:
Monitoring and actioning security reports, alerts, and related inputs
Contribute to the resolution of technical risks and issues
Assisting in the implementation of systems and processes that are fit for purpose
Monitoring and responding to queries, providing timely advice to stakeholders
Supporting continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance security processes, tools, and controls

The successful candidate will:
Have Hands-on IT or Cyber Security Experience: You've successfully worked in the field and are comfortable with practical problem-solving, platform management and IT processes.
