Job description
• Trend research and in-depth market survey in order to thoroughly understand the market needs.
• Exploration of patterns, colors and techniques to create new and unusual print designs keeping in mind the brands product range.
• Development of Print designs and planning unique and new placements, motifs and layouts
• Research and develop ideas from various sources; scanning, redrawing and changing colour ways; using software packages to create new effects.
• To design and develop new prints seasonally
• Provide design/concept boards to communicate design and seasonal direction for textile prints, materials and trims.
• experimenting with colour, fabric and texture
• To work within a budget and to deadlines, whilst keeping up with current trends and production techniques.
• Creating fabric designs and patterns for woven, knitted and printed materials
• Study fashion trends and anticipate designs that will appeal to consumers. keeping up to date with emerging fashion trends as well as general trends relating to fabrics, colours and shapes
• Decide on a theme for a collection, planning and developing ranges
