Job Description
We currently have a permanent vacancy for a highly organised, driven and motivated individual to fill the role of Assistant Director, Business Intelligence. Reporting to the Director, Business Intelligence & Banking Initiatives, the successful applicant will be responsible for developing, monitoring and overseeing a range of business intelligence and business improvement tools and activities, including Microsoft PowerBI Dashboards and equivalents, across the Finance Operations domain. Through this, you will support Shared Services Finance’s delivery of efficient and responsive financial services for our customers and stakeholders through improving data quality, as well as standardisation in processes, across Finance Operations.
To be successful in this role, you will require a strong knowledge and understanding of the strategic requirements of an area focused on finance operations processing, service delivery and customer experience. You should also have experience in the development, management and oversight of a range of business intelligence and other business/process improvement tools and activities.
The successful applicant will require an advanced ability to understand and process financial and other complex information, uncover patterns and relationships, and apply this to problem solving. You will also need to be able to build and maintain ongoing relationships with both internal and external stakeholders at all levels.

Eligibility/Other Requirements:
It would be highly desirable, but not essential, for you to have:
Previous experience in business intelligence and/or business improvement in either a government or private enterprise; and
Relevant Tertiary qualifications and/or experience in finance, business or another relevant discipline.
Notes: A merit pool may be established from this selection process and may be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months. Selection may be based on written application and referee reports only. This position has moved to a workplace designed for Activity-Based Working (ABW). Under ABW arrangements, officers do not have a designated workstation/desk.
