Job Description
This role will have responsibility for:
- Checking proofs and tallying the corrections marked by the author and editor.
- Follow-up with vendors for the titles assigned.
- Analysis the manuscript as per the pedagogy of title and raise initial queries in case of any discrepancy.
- Co-ordination with all stakeholders (inhouse team, vendor, author, freelancers) of the title.
- Checking ferros and advance copies.
• Essential skills and competencies:
- Good knowledge of editing and proofreading
- Knowledge of publishing process
- Excellent written/verbal English communication skills
- Knowledge of basic html
- Organizational skills
- Ability to work independently without direct supervision
- Ability to work well within and across teams
- Analytical nature
- Time management skills
- Ability to deal with deadlines and pressure effectively
- Good knowledge of editing and proofreading
• Job Type: Contractual / Temporary
Contract length: 12 months
• Salary: ₹32,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Noida, Uttar Pradesh, Noida, Uttar Pradesh: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
• Education:
Bachelor's (preferred)
• Experience:
- Editor: 1 year (required)
