Job Description
The Club at Hillbrook is looking for an Assistant Event Coordinator and Event/Membership sales position to begin in the New Year. As the event coordinator assistant, your job is to support the coordinator in planning and executing events at the Club. This will include day to day tasks along with day of help with coordination and execution of the actual event. You may work on any number of events, ranging from weddings, showers, corporate retreats to member events. This position will also be responsible for meeting, selling and booking all events and membership inquiries.
The right candidate would be an outgoing, detail oriented, positive individual who is eager to learn and contribute to the Hillbrook team.
Key responsibilities:
· Assisting the events team with any number of events ranging from small business meetings up to large weddings
· Accompanying the coordinator at meetings and tastings, eventually leading to assistance leading similar meetings if necessary
· Supporting the events manager with logistical and administrative support
· Maintaining records of all bookings e.g. venue and catering and taking payments where necessary
· Assisting with creative decisions and offering insight or ideas to better the company
· Attending important meetings to act as a second point of contact
· Ad-hoc duties at events including, but not limited to, vendor coordination, timeline management, checking on hosts/couples and conflict management
· Helping set up and dismantle events efficiently through to completion
Essential Requirements:
· Event and Networking experience a plus
· Personable and presentable
· Must be prompt and reliable
· Detail oriented
· Conflict management skills
· Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
· Creative and used to thinking outside of the box
· A passion for events
Schedule:
· Part time or full time hours available
· Pay is a starting rate, with commission on event and membership sales
· Schedule is flexible but will require nights, weekends and holiday hours
