Job Description

Duties include:
Customer service and sales.
Responding to inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
Completing event contracts with guests.
Executing bookings and large party reservations.
Organizing menus, event details, special requests.
Preparing restaurant and venues for special event execution.
Assisting with event set up and tear down as needed.
Coordinating with guests, front of house and back of house teams. Coordinating with outside companies where necessary, rental and events companies, other planners and related stakeholders.
Assisting with the organization of various product orders
Data Entry
Maintaining cleanliness and organization of administrative and other working areas
Filing
Word processing
Reception — answering phones, taking detailed messages, communicating with customers.
Provide ad hoc support as needed
Relevant Skills
Customer service experience is foundational to this position.
Working knowledge of Apple computers and products essential.
Sales acumen is essential.
Knowledge and experience in hospitality is essential.
Familiarity with Pages, Numbers and other Mac based programs.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel and Word.
Experience with Point of Sales systems an asset.
Agility — ability to transition between different tasks throughout the day.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Professionalism and strong interpersonal skills are essential.
Ability to lift 15 kg.
Must be a self-starter and be able to work independently.
