Job Description
Hooray Indoor Playground is hiring a creative, energetic, and dependable Assistant Event Coordinator to help bring our birthday parties and special events to life! This role includes party hosting, decorating, and event set-up/clean-up—perfect for someone who loves creating fun moments for kids and families.
Responsibilities
Host parties and keep the celebration running smoothly (greeting families, leading activities, guiding guests)
Assist with event coordination: follow timelines, communicate needs, and support families during their event
Decorate and set up party spaces (balloons, backdrops, themed tables, signage, props)
Clean up and reset party areas after events to Hooray standards
Prepare supplies (plates, cups, utensils, goodie bags, party materials) as needed
Maintain a positive, welcoming atmosphere and deliver excellent customer service
Support safety and supervision standards during parties and events
Help organize and restock decor inventory, party supplies, and storage areas
What We’re Looking For
A creative eye for décor and attention to detail
Comfortable speaking to groups and leading children’s activities
Friendly, professional, and great with families
Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
Able to lift up to 30 lbs and stand/move for extended periods
Able to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
Schedule & Availability
Part-time hours, typically Friday evenings + Saturdays/Sundays
Must have flexible weekend availability
Additional hours may be available during camps, holidays, and special events
Experience (Preferred, Not Required)
Event support, party hosting, customer service, childcare, or hospitality
Balloon garlands/backdrops or creative decorating experience (we’ll train the right person!)
