Job Description
Responsibilities – Assistant Fashion Designer
Assist the head designer in developing new collections, from concept to final sample.
Research current fashion trends, fabrics, trims, and colors to support design direction.
Create design sketches, mood boards, and technical drawings.
Coordinate with vendors, fabric suppliers, and production teams for timely execution.
Support fittings and make necessary alterations or design adjustments.
Prepare spec sheets, measurement charts, and maintain design archives.
Ensure quality standards are met during sampling and production.
Provide creative input and fresh ideas for upcoming collections.
Manage day-to-day studio tasks such as organizing samples, swatches, and lookbooks.
Skills & Qualifications
Graduate/Diploma in Fashion Design (NIFT, Pearl, FDDI, or equivalent).
Proficiency in design software (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CorelDRAW, Procreate, etc.).
Strong eye for color, detail, and current fashion trends.
Basic knowledge of fabrics, embroidery, and garment construction.
Good communication and organizational skills
