Job Description
Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis, review financial statements, and provide insights to support strategic decision-making. Analyze financial data, identify trends, and develop forecasts and projections specific to the Indian market.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development of annual budgets and financial forecasts for the organization's operations. Monitor budget variances, analyze expenditure patterns, and provide recommendations for cost control measures in accordance with Indian financial regulations.
Compliance and Taxation: Ensure compliance with Indian financial regulations, including tax laws, accounting standards, and statutory requirements. Prepare and submit accurate tax returns, maintain necessary documentation, and liaise with tax authorities, auditors, and regulatory bodies as required.
Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, adhering to Indian accounting principles and regulatory requirements. Ensure compliance with Indian Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and relevant reporting standards.
Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow for the organization's operations in India, prepare cash flow forecasts, and optimize cash management processes in alignment with Indian banking systems and regulations. Coordinate with various departments to ensure efficient cash flow operations.
Financial Operations: Support day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger entries, and reconciliations specific to the Indian market. Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial transactions while adhering to Indian accounting standards.
Internal Controls: Assist in the development and implementation of internal controls to safeguard company assets, ensure compliance, and mitigate financial risks in accordance with Indian financial regulations. Monitor adherence to controls and recommend improvements as necessary.
Audits and Statutory Compliance: Assist in coordinating external audits and regulatory compliance activities specific to the Indian market. Prepare audit schedules, respond to audit inquiries, and implement audit recommendations to comply with Indian auditing standards and regulatory requirements.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as the finance, accounting, and operations departments, to gather financial data, resolve issues, and support business initiatives in India. Provide financial insights and guidance to non-finance stakeholders in alignment with Indian business practices.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and streamlining of financial procedures specific to the Indian market. Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness, considering Indian financial regulations and business requirements.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. A master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CA, CMA) is preferred.
Minimum 1-2 years of experience in the NBFC’s, Banks should be of advantage.
Proven experience in finance or accounting roles, preferably in an Indian organization or with exposure to Indian financial regulations.
Strong knowledge of Indian financial regulations, tax laws, and accounting standards (e.g., Indian GAAP).
Proficiency in financial software and tools commonly used such as Zoho, Tally or other accounting software.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
Solid understanding of Indian accounting principles, regulations, and internal controls.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work under pressure in the business context.
