Job Purpose:
To lead and support business growth initiatives by identifying, developing, and managing new project opportunities in the EPC sector (Infrastructure, Power, Oil & Gas, Water, or Industrial Projects). The role involves strategic market analysis, client relationship management, proposal coordination, and contract negotiations to achieve business targets and expand the company’s market presence.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Business Development & Market Expansion
Identify and evaluate potential business opportunities in domestic and international EPC markets.
Develop and implement business strategies aligned with company growth objectives.
Track upcoming tenders, RFPs, and projects through market intelligence and liaison with clients, consultants, and government bodies.
Maintain an active pipeline of opportunities and ensure timely bid submissions.
2. Client Relationship Management
Build and nurture long-term relationships with key clients, partners, consultants, and government officials.
Represent the company in client meetings, conferences, and networking events.
Facilitate pre-bid meetings, site visits, and technical discussions with clients.
3. Tendering & Proposal Coordination
Coordinate with tendering, estimation, engineering, and finance teams to prepare competitive bids.
Review technical and commercial aspects of tenders before submission.
Support management in price strategy, risk assessment, and final bid review.
4. Strategic Planning & Partnerships
Identify potential strategic alliances, joint ventures, and consortium partners.
Evaluate business models for new markets or service verticals (EPC, EPCM, turnkey, etc.).
Conduct competitor analysis and market benchmarking.
5. Negotiation & Contract Finalization
Participate in commercial negotiations with clients and partners.
Ensure compliance with contractual terms, commercial policies, and risk management protocols.
Support in finalization of contracts and handover to project execution teams.
6. MIS & Reporting
Prepare monthly/quarterly reports on business pipeline, wins/losses, and competitor activity.
Maintain accurate CRM or business tracking database.
Present business development updates to senior management.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Strong understanding of EPC business processes (engineering, procurement, and project execution).
Excellent networking, communication, and presentation skills.
Proficiency in tender management and bid strategy formulation.
Analytical mindset with ability to assess market potential and risks.
Negotiation and contract management expertise.
Ability to lead cross-functional teams and coordinate across departments.
Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil / Mechanical / Electrical / Chemical preferred).
MBA in Marketing / International Business (preferred).
Experience:
15–20 years of total experience, with at least 10+ years in Business Development within the EPC industry.
Proven track record in winning large EPC projects (Infrastructure, Energy, Oil & Gas, or Industrial).
Work Location:
Head Office (with frequent travel to client/project sites).
