Applications are sought from suitable candidates wanting to work as an Assistant in Nursing as part of our dynamic nursing team.
Lady Davidson Private Hospital is one of the largest private dedicated rehabilitation hospitals in Australia and is set on the edge of the beautiful Ku-ring-gai National Park in North Turramurra. With 115 inpatient rehabilitation beds and an extensive Day Program, the hospital has been designed to promote rehabilitation with the use of five well-equipped gymnasiums, a large hydrotherapy pool and an independent living assessment unit.
As an Assistant in Nursing your responsibilities will include:
Assist nurses or hospital staff in carrying out patient care duties
Work as part of the health care team; practice in accordance with state legislation and within the designated scope of practice parameters
Assess patients using therapeutic skills
Provide recommendations to specialist treatment programs based on their diagnosis
Answering patient/family/visitor/customer enquiries
Essential Criteria:
Certificate III/IV (from an approved training provider) in Community and Health Services, Personal Carer
Excellent ability to plan and prioritise work
Highly developed verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a multidisciplinary team
Previous experience as an Assistant in Nursing desired
