About the Role:
Are you ready to take the next step in your career? We’re looking for an Assistant Manager to join our growing team in Doncaster. This role offers the flexibility to work across both audit and accounts, or focus solely on accounts, depending on your background and interests. You’ll play a key part in delivering high-quality client work, mentoring junior team members, and supporting the ongoing success of our office.
Key Responsibilities:
Managing client assignments, ensuring work is delivered accurately and within agreed deadlines.
Supporting, reviewing, and guiding junior staff to ensure high standards are maintained.
Preparing and reviewing accounts, tax, PAYE, and VAT returns.
Planning and overseeing audit engagements (where applicable).
Maintaining strong client relationships and handling queries with professionalism.
Ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
Managing and recording chargeable time efficiently to support effective fee recovery.
Key Requirements:
We are seeking a quality-focused individual committed to professional growth. You will ideally have:
ACA/ACCA qualified or part-qualified with significant experience in practice.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
A proactive approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
A high level of attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
Confidence using accounting software and Microsoft Office tools.
A collaborative mindset and a passion for delivering excellent client service.
