Introduction:
Pre and Post settlement for OTC Derivative trades –
Develop and manage operational relationships with our clients through pro-active reconciliation of pre-settlement and post-settlement of payments/receipts with each client.
What will you be doing?
• Assist the AVP in the running of the daily BAU functions, including:
o Acting as the escalation point for B3
o Conducting training with junior members of staff and new joiners
o Taking the lead in UAT for departmental initiatives and projects and proactively suggest system enhancements to improve team efficiency
• Pre-confirm Derivatives settlements with internal and external counterparties
• Source and request for SSI setup / amend of clients
• Perform matching of statements against ledgers
• Investigate Nostro breaks where ledgers/statements are unmatched
What we’re looking for:
• Degree Educated with experience in an OTC Derivatives environment. Extensive knowledge of derivative products within remit and the processes in the Settlements and/or comfirmations area.
• Strong understanding of the end-to-end processes in the Confirmations and/or Settlements area
• Experience gained in High Volume House and client service environment.
• Willingness to take on responsibility
Skills that will help you in the role:
• Strong communication and negotiation skills in order to manage the relationship with Premier clients, fluent in English.
• Highly numerate with analytical problem solving ability.
• Results Driven.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Self Starter / Ambitious.
• Confidence to deal with both external and internal clients
