Assistant Manager Accounts
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager – Accounts to oversee and manage financial transactions, compliance, and reporting functions within our heavy machinery manufacturing unit. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, taxation, and financial reporting, with experience in the manufacturing sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting & Financial Management:
• Ensure timely and accurate maintenance of books of accounts in compliance with Indian Accounting Standards.
• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including ledger management, accounts payable/receivable, and reconciliations.
• Assist in preparing financial statements such as Balance Sheet, P&L Statement, and Cash Flow Statements.
• Monitor inventory accounting, capital expenditures, and fixed asset register management.
Taxation & Compliance:
• Ensure GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance filings are done accurately and on time.
• Assist in audit preparation and liaise with internal/external auditors.
• Handle income tax, excise duty, and customs duty compliance as applicable to the heavy machinery sector.
• Stay updated with government tax regulations and changes affecting the manufacturing industry.
Budgeting & Cost Control:
• Support budget preparation, cost analysis, and variance reporting.
• Monitor and control expenses to improve cost efficiency.
• Work with departments to optimize working capital and cash flow management.
Banking & Financial Operations:
• Coordinate with banks for LCs, bank guarantees, and loan processing.
• Manage vendor payments, credit control, and debtor follow-ups.
• Oversee bank reconciliation statements and cash flow management.
ERP & MIS Reporting:
• Maintain and enhance the ERP system for financial data management.
• Generate MIS reports for management review, highlighting financial performance indicators.
• Identify process improvements to ensure efficient financial operations.
Skills & Qualifications:
• Education: CA Inter / M.Com / MBA (Finance) / ICWA or equivalent.
• Experience: 5-8 years in accounting & finance, preferably in a heavy machinery or manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of Indian GAAP, GST, TDS, and other financial regulations.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (Tally/Oracle) and advanced MS Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
• Strong communication and ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams.
