Job Summary:
The incumbent of the role will be part of the Credit to Cash team within the broader controllership function at Disney Star. The person will mainly have a collection of responsibilities and will need to interact regularly with clients / Licensees for payments, reconciliations & solving disputes to ensure overall contribution to the team, department, and organisation.
Context:
The Collections is an important team that ensures timely payments are recovered from all our clients & customers. The role involves the incumbent to assume all collection responsibilities including interacting regularly with clients / Licensees for payments, meeting customers for reconciliations & solving disputes. It will also involve Interaction internally with LOB Finance, business, and controllership team. Coordination with credit team for creditworthiness of the customers. For the team and department, the person should be flexible to accept any additional responsibilities or new assignments and interacting & collaborating with cross departments. Achieving the collection & provision target Monthly/Quarterly which will help the organisation to meet maximum cash flow and savings in provision.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform operational work involving collections of South Asia customers. Focus on routine portfolio.
Coordination and building relationships with external and internal stakeholders in the process of performing collection activities.
Accounting for the cash received and requesting customers to provide bank remittance advice and tax information to apply the cash.
Maximizes the effectiveness of the collection process by identifying problems early during the process.
Work closely with CTC – Invoicing & Cash applications function in providing remittance details, ensuring cash being applied correctly, clearing of incoming down payment and inform customers if there are any discrepancies on WHT rate deducted or short payment.
Reconcile the debtors account and to provide customers any invoices not received as per monthly statement.
Regular interaction with immediate manager for updates.
Prepare bi weekly AR reports & any other adhoc reports to be shared with respective stakeholders on a timely basis.

Willingness to learn & to explore the knowledge, build relationships with various stakeholders and work closely internally and externally.
Qualifications:
Experience - Between 7-10 years
Qualifications – Degree/ Diploma in Business or related, majoring in accounting and/or Finance is a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
Knowledge of SAP - will be added advantage.
Language knowledge – English
Industry – Preferably Media or Any
Good in communication – Oral & Written

Willingness to learn & to explore the knowledge.
Good coordination & organisation skills
Strong interpersonal Skills & team player
Plus but not mandatory prior cross-cultural experience etc.
