Job Description
Assistant Manager (Indirect Tax)
Tax Compliance:
- Filing of all the indirect tax returns including sales tax, use tax, and value-added tax (VAT), GST returns GSTR-1/GSTR-3B / GSTR-2A Reconciliation on monthly basis and GST annual returns
- Managing the assessments for GST
- Preparing all the necessary accounting entries for GST etc and review and reconcile tax accounts
- Prepare various MIS required by management from time to time
- Coordination with Internal and Statutory auditors providing the data for audit and addressing audit queries.
- Automation, Digitization and Process improvement for Indirect tax compliances
- Preparing and sharing Annexure as required for Tax audit to Auditors.
- Ensure timely and accurate payment of indirect taxes
- Provide support to the accounting and finance teams on indirect tax matters
- Respond to tax notices and audits
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with external auditors, tax authorities, and internal stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations
- Stay current on changes to tax laws and regulations and communicate relevant updates to stakeholders
- Participate in special projects as needed
