Job Title: Maintenance Lead Engineer (Asst Manager / Manager)

Location: Ahmedabad / Goa

Role Purpose

Handle day-to-day maintenance activities and ensure smooth running of all production and utility equipment through proper coordination, preventive maintenance, and quick breakdown handling.

Key Responsibilities

1. Daily Maintenance & Coordination

· Coordinate with production team for machine availability and maintenance planning

· Attend breakdowns on priority and restore operations quickly

· Supervise and support technicians for repair work

2. Preventive Maintenance (Core Focus)

· Prepare and execute preventive maintenance schedule for all machines

· Ensure timely servicing of mixers, filling machines, pumps, compressors, and utilities

· Maintain PM records, checklists, and history of equipment

3. Breakdown Handling

· Identify root cause of failures and ensure permanent corrective action

· Minimize repeat breakdowns through proper follow-up

· Keep downtime to minimum levels

4. Equipment Coverage

· Liquid mixing vessels, stirrers, and transfer pumps

· Filling and packing machines (semi-auto/auto)

· Air compressors, RO water systems, and basic electrical panels

· Material handling equipment and pipelines

5. Spare & Vendor Coordination

· Maintain minimum critical spare stock

· Coordinate with local vendors for repairs, fabrication, and urgent support

· Follow up for cost-effective and timely service

6. Documentation & Control

· Maintain maintenance register (breakdown + preventive)

· Track machine-wise issues and recurring problems

· Support audits by keeping basic documentation ready

7. Safety & Housekeeping

· Ensure safe maintenance practices during work

· Maintain cleanliness in machine and utility areas

· Avoid leakages, spillages, and unsafe temporary fixes

Key Skills Required

· Hands-on mechanical and basic electrical troubleshooting

· Practical experience in small/medium FMCG or liquid plant

· Ability to plan and execute preventive maintenance without supervision

· Cost-conscious and solution-oriented approach

Preferred Profile

· Diploma / ITI / Engineer (Mechanical or Electrical) with Min 5 years of experience in similar manufacturing setup

· Smooth daily production with minimal stoppages

· Preventive maintenance completion on time

· Reduction in repeat machine issues

· Controlled maintenance expenses

· Basic systems and records maintained properly

Pay: ₹12,740.16 - ₹48,853.42 per month
