We are Hiring for Assistant Manager - Pre Sales
General Summary
• Primary responsibilities include the engineering, upgrade, technical overview, and support for our Optical, Ethernet and IP/TDM transport test equipment and services.
• This position is located at the company headquarters in Andheri East, Mumbai.
Required Attributes
• Should have good knowledge of the technology and operations of optical test equipment like IP Ethernet, OTN, DWDM, PTP/Sync E, SDH, OTDR, Laser source, Power meter and fiberscopes.
• Should also possess basic insights on PDH, FTTX/GPON and optical loss budgeting etc.
• Should be very familiar with best practices in handling optical fiber components so as to minimize the effects of dust and dirt.
• Should have good verbal and written communication skills so as to be able to:-
• Conduct demonstrations of the optical and transport test instruments.
• Conduct presentations trainings on best practices of use of such instruments to customers all over India and in SAARC territory.
• Correspond and converse with international technical experts and suppliers for these equipment
• Should understand specifications of optical test products so as to technically prepare bids in response to RFPs w.r.t. technical compliances and highlighting key advantages or pin-point deficiencies to the product management teams.
• Should be willing to travel all over India and South Asia, and assist the local sales teams on all technical aspects in order to achieve commercial closure.
• Should assist in creation and implementation of documents and procedures to support operations.
• Should be willing to read and learn ITU/IETF standards, RFCs, testing methodologies and wireline/wireless backhaul technologies.
• Proactive in customer communication to understand requirement, solutions and issues and resolve it in timely manner.
• Individual contributor and leadership qualities to guide the other team members for smooth work completion.
Desirable Attributes
• Field experience in using OTDRs, OPMs, OLS, OSA, etc., when combined with theoretical concepts and understanding of best practices as stated above, will be an advantage for this position.
• Familiarity with DWDM, TCP/IP, MPLS, and data communication networks will be a distinct advantage for these positions.
• Familiarity with operating systems and virtualization will be preferred.
Required Qualifications:-
• B.E in Electronic Telecommunications.
• At least 2 years experience demonstrating the above mentioned attributes. Total exp. 6 to 10 years.
• Should be eager to learn new technologies and business details.
• Self-motivated to act independently
• Problem solving and customer service skills.
• Multitasking and coordination skills.
