Job Description:
• Developing and implementing purchasing operating procedures.
• Managing daily purchasing activities for raw materials, packaging, and consumables.
• Supervising ingredient weighing staff for daily recipes and making indents.
• Managing supplier vendor relations and negotiating contracts, prices, timelines, etc.
• Maintaining the supplier database, purchase records and consumption documentation in the Barometer audit system.
• Coordinating and being a point of contact with the external inventory control management team to determine and manage inventory needs.
• Weekly managing and maintaining the hygiene of the purchase department and the storage refrigeration and warehouse to avoid any pest issues.
• Ensuring that all procured items meet the required quality standards and specifications.
• Preparing cost estimates with the material management system and managing purchase budgets.
• Working to improve purchasing systems and processes.
• Ensuring the store has the par stock maintained and FIFO inventory system is followed.
• Coordinating, monitoring, and reporting on daily operations and weekly operations.
• Coordinating with the head chef or assistant to head chef for production planning and ensuring the ingredients are available as per the plan
