Job Description

• To analyse and input AML alerts in line with the Trade AML procedure document and Red Flag document based on source reports.
• To escalate any positive alerts to Trade AML Advisors.
• To assist the Trade AML team in implementation of Trade AML policies in line with the procedures in vogue.
• Handling of Financial Markets Third Party Payment (FM TPP) events

Key Responsibilities
• Review post transaction alerts from an AML perspective via Trade AML.
• Ensure that appropriate systems, procedures and controls are followed up in reviewing and uploading the alerts in Trade AML system
• Ensure timely submissions of monthly MIS with respect to AML alerts
• Ensure timely review and escalation of alerts via Trade AML system to Trade AML advisors.
• Provide support for Trade AML rollout across all markets in line with group implementation plan
• Provide support for IT initiatives/ issues with respect to Trade AML system in use by Operations/ AML Advisors.
• Provide support BCP / DR testing
• Undertaking local/ international certifications relating to AML as appropriate.
• Initiate and drive operational excellence activities as applicable.
• Help the trade AML team in securing Acceptable audit ratings for the unit and ensure timely resolution of audit and AML risk related issues
• Ensure completion of the organization ILDP program
• Provide inputs to the training team on AML as required
• Conduct regular connects with the Operations team in Trade, to share cases and new learning, if any.
• Ensure low levels of attrition in the AML team.
• Conduct regular skip levels with the staff in the team to ensure employee morale is high
• To keep the team updated on important aspects of AML policies and procedures from time to time so that the entire team is up the speed with the current policies.

Risk Management
• Analyse significant financial crime risk events (e.g. non-compliant transactions, production orders) to ensure that all connected parties, particularly cross-border are identified and reported at the appropriate levels internally across all relevant jurisdictions.
• Apply Group and FCC policies and processes (AML surveillance, client screening, risk assessment) to manage risks.

Governance
• In the event of serious regulatory breaches, or where risk tolerances have been breached, ensure senior management are informed and that actions are taken quickly to remediate and/or activities are ceased.
• Support all control checks undertaken by FCC under the Operational Risk Framework (ORF).

Regulatory & Business conduct
• Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group s Values and Code of Conduct.
• Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

Project/change management
• Review new business requirements and provide solutions where required.

• Timely completion of Trade AML Alerts investigation and upload into the workflow system.
• Successful system implementation whenever applicable
