Trade Services (GTRF) is a core business for the HSBC Group. At INM, GTRF’s a major contributor towards the revenue and profits of Corporate Banking.
The jobholder derives guidance and authority chiefly from the regulations administered and framed by the RBI under the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA) and the Trade Services Functional Instruction Manual (TS FIM). The jobholder operates under the guidelines stipulated by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) in its publications such as the UCP600, URC 522 and URR725. The jobholder is expected to exercise broad discretion in carrying out his/her duties and is not required to make reference to his / her superiors on day-to-day matters.
Principal Responsibilities
To manage and control all aspects of governance and regulatory controls within Trade Services.
To support INM GTRF Governance Head in implementing business strategies to ensure maximum growth in revenue from existing Trade Customers and attainment of strategic and operating objectives.
To ensure efficient and productive operations compliant with all regulatory and internal guidelines with respect to increase in complexities in transactions and number of structured deals.
Meeting RBI and other regulatory bodies including internal regulators to ensure compliance to procedures and conduct regular meetings and trainings with trade customers.
To enhance productivity, control risk and ensure best practice.
To review processes, prepare process note, DIBs, follow-up for RBI approvals, manage EDPMS/IDPMS etc.
Manage internal and external audits.
Manage FCC reporting, Trainings etc.
Requirements
5+ years experience in transaction banking (exposure to cross border transactions would be preferred)
Fair knowledge & understanding of trade products.
Strong interpersonal, influencing and communication skills.
A self starter who carries a ‘can do’ attitude and an ability to navigate the unknown
Understanding and appreciation of operational risk framework.
Solutions oriented, can work independently and has an eye for detail
Strong organizing and time management skills.
Profeciency in the English language
A Bachelor degree preferably in a business or related area
Additional Information
Mandatory to successfully complete Anti-Money Laundering and Sanctions training and post-course assessment, as required.
