GTRF Transaction Risk Management is a single unit within first line of defense, supporting the ongoing suitability assessment of GTRF products and customer relationships to achieve sustainable growth. It’s subject matter experts also run and support multiple work streams and projects within the business for Simplification, Efficiency and Automation.
Global Service Centers are an integral part of Global Operations. Employees based there manage day-to-day customer transactions and processes for the global businesses. This may include transactions for our retail bank such as processing loans, credit cards, insurance, and mortgage applications, opening new accounts, and managing customer enquiries through contact centers and digital platforms. Employees in the Global Service Centers also run and manage operations for commercial bank customers. This includes processing credit applications, facilitating payments and managing the import and export transactions that enable customers to protect and grow their businesses through international trade.
The Opportunity:
The primary focus of this role is to support the TRM Centre of Excellence delivery model to drive up the customer experience and advocacy, assist in managing the operational risk and realize lower operating costs. Principally, this requires participation and support in the structuring and monitoring of new facility/transaction facilities to ensure they are workable and that the proposed facility/transaction are in line with industry standards and internal/external banking practices, processes, and governance. This is to achieve the desired levels of quality, risk management, operational efficiency and alignment to Global Business demand. Active engagement with stakeholders across GTRF markets and shared services as required.
The role will likely span across 3 key streams, namely Survey, Buyer Credit and Commodity Trade Finance.
Survey
Key responsibilities will be providing operational support to the process receivables finance survey activity on new and existing Sellers using appropriate auditing techniques, independently, and objectively, identify and manage risk or risk mitigation, whether financial, operational, or relationship based.
Buyer Credit
Responsibilities will include supporting the underwriting and managing/monitoring buyer credit limit exposures, providing trusted advice to internal stakeholders in addition to providing guidance and direction on credit structures and risk positions to ensure that business assets are committed and controlled within acceptable risk/reward parameters.
In-Life Monitoring/Periodic controls
Active participation in the operational delivery of the risk management practices and techniques by helping to deliver best practice policies, processes, and systems efficiently whilst addressing related operational and credit risk; Engage in the implementation and effective usage of the Collateral Management System and provide a best-in-class transaction management in relation to the Commodity Trade Finance portfolio
Portfolio Risk
Undertaking the Co-ordination, processing, and monitoring, of the cessation of a Receivable Finance (RF) facility
