Assistant Manager - Wellington NZ
Become a valued member of the Audit & Assurance team for our client, a Top 10 Global Accounting Firm, in this Assistant Manager role based in Wellington NZ.
• Strategize audit engagements by identifying risks, formulating audit strategies, establishing timelines, coordinating team members, and negotiating fees.
• Identify areas for further development within the team to build greater Audit capability
• Offer coaching and support to foster skill development among team members.
YOU | As a Assistant Manager, you will be the primary point of contact and accountable for overseeing multiple audit engagements. You will supervise and support assigned engagement teams in all facets of the audit process. To thrive in this role, you will have:
• A degree in Accounting or a related field with a major in Accounting.
• Completed CA/CPA
• 4 or more years audit experience
• For the right candidate, relocation will be considered.
THE ROLE | As the Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for supervising audit engagements, providing on-the-job training, and managing workflow. Ensuring alignment with company policy and adherence to relevant industry legislation and regulations is crucial in this role. You will proactively seek opportunities to augment the client's scope of work with the firm and actively participate in special assignments, reports, and thought leadership papers as required.
