Purpose of the Role:
We’re on the lookout for a confident and capable Assistant Night Manager to help lead our overnight operations. You’ll be the welcoming face for late arrivals, the calm presence during the night, and the go-to person when the Night Manager is off duty. This is a hands-on role where your attention to detail and passion for guest experience will shine.
This is a permanent 40-hour position working 11pm – 7:30am.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee hotel operations overnight, ensuring safety and service excellence
Welcome late arrivals and farewell early departures with warmth and professionalism
Lead and support the night team across Rooms Division and F&B
Manage nightly audits, reconciliations, and reporting
Respond to guest requests and resolve issues with confidence
Maintain security protocols and ensure smooth handovers between shifts
Who We’re Looking For:
We’re after someone who brings confidence, care, and capability to every shift. You’ll thrive in a guest-focused environment and be ready to lead by example. To succeed in this role, you’ll need:
Minimum 1 year of Front Office experience in a luxury hotel environment.
Current Manager’s Certificate and LCQ.
Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to guest service.
Ability to lead and support another team member overnight.
Must have current New Zealand working rights.
