Introduction:
Support Portfolio Managers with managing client portfolios and assist with BAU tasks and implementation of new process and product initiatives. Other activities also include such as appropriate record keeping, adhering with regulatory requirements, coordination with Operations, back office and client representatives.
What will you be doing?
The candidate is expected to support Portfolio Managers in executing the following activities:
A. Portfolio Management support
Assist portfolio managers in calculating suitability of advice in line with standards
Recommend to portfolio managers suitable portfolio actions for their review and approval across portfolio accounts.
Interface with client representatives, service managers and operations for obtaining approvals on non-discretionary trades.
Maintaining trade rationale and fund/security recommendations for record purposes
Coordinating and responsible for conducting the periodic PMS investment forums and governance forums
Recommend to portfolio managers suitable portfolio actions for their review and approval
Set-up new mandates and product masters in the portfolio management systems
Assist the portfolio managers in researching and reviewing investments
B. Sales Support and Collateral Management
Support client relationship teams and portfolio management teams in preparing proposition pitch books, fact sheets, customized pitches with portfolio risk and return analytics and other client-facing documents based on specific requirements in line with Barclays Risk Control Framework and regulatory guidelines.
Support portfolio management teams and research analyst in publication of investment strategy notes and related client-facing collaterals.
Provide query management desk support to client relationship and servicing teams and clients with respect to portfolios and products.
C. Product, Risk Management, Governance and Control
Drive and deliver all new product, product enhancements, process, technology and change management projects in collaboration with all infrastructure support and control functions such as business delivery, operations, technology, legal, compliance, risk and others
Initiate, coordinate and complete periodic review of products and processes with a focus on building efficiencies and robustness
Support portfolio managers in undertaking portfolio risk and performance review analyses
Prepare portfolio review data for mandatory periodic portfolio reviews in line with regulatory requirements
Assist internal controls team in conducting periodic snap-checks
Assist compliance in coordinating for internal as well as external/regulatory audits
Assist in regulatory record management
What we’re looking for:
The Role holder will a CA/MBA(Finance) or have the appropriate alternative experience.
The ideal candidate should have a thorough understanding of various asset classes and investment products
Ideal candidate should have worked in a global wealth management firm or an investment firm

The role holder will possess a strong client focused mindset and proven negotiation skills, with both external and internal clients and the ability to manage and prioritise multiple demands.
The role holder will possess strong written and verbal communication skills in English. The role holder may also possess skills in one or more additional languages.
