The Heart of the role:
Supporting the Practice Manager in coaching, leading & developing a high performing practice team in a positive environment for both staff and patients
Assist with overall financial performance of the practice in line with the approved budget
Contribute to and assist in facilitating regular team meetings
Patient management; greeting and welcoming patients, answering all phone enquiries, making & confirming appointments; checking, processing & managing customer accounts
General administration including processing payments using EFTPOS & HiCaps
In the absence of the Practice Manager you will be required to step into the role of Acting Practice Manager
Effectively manage the recruitment & selection for all practice staff
What you'll bring:
Previous dental experience desirable but we also welcome applications from successful managers from other industries
Prior business and people management experience essential
Proven track record of strong organisational skills, administrative and time management
Exceptional communication, interpersonal, customer service skills and strong business acumen
Understanding how to generate income and control costs
Able to face into difficult conversations & deal promptly with issues when they arise
Comfortable conversing with people from all walks of life, including dentists, patients, and your practice team
Experienced in comprehending and managing the P&L for the practice
Exceptional communication, interpersonal, customer service skills and strong business acumen
