Job Title: Corporate Legal Director
Job Summary:
The Corporate Legal Director will oversee the legal affairs of the organization, focusing on contract drafting, compliance, and communication with internal and external stakeholders. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent knowledge of corporate law, strong drafting skills, and the ability to manage a broad range of legal and compliance matters.
Key Responsibilities:
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of contracts, including commercial agreements, vendor contracts, and partnership agreements.
• Ensure the company’s compliance with laws, regulations, and internal policies.
• Provide legal guidance to the executive team and other departments on corporate legal matters.
• Develop and implement legal strategies that align with the company’s business objectives.
• Manage legal risks and disputes, coordinating with external legal counsel when necessary.
• Keep up to date with changes in laws and regulations that may impact the business.
• Train and mentor the legal team, promoting best practices in legal compliance and contract management.
• Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to ensure legal needs are met promptly and efficiently.
Qualifications:
• Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent legal degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in corporate law, with a focus on contract drafting and compliance.
• Strong knowledge of corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and contract law.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders.
• Proven experience managing a legal team and working closely with senior management.
• Ability to think strategically and provide practical, business-oriented legal advice.
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
Skills:
• Expertise in drafting and negotiating complex contracts.
• Strong understanding of compliance requirements and legal best practices.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in legal research and legal risk analysis.
