The Role
As Assistant Manager, you will support the General Manager in delivering outstanding operational performance while maintaining excellent food and drink standards. Right candidate can expect up to £8,000 in bonuses.
Key responsibilities include:
Supporting the day-to-day management of the pub
Maintaining exceptional food hygiene and safety standards (strong knowledge of food standards is essential)
Ensuring compliance with all health & safety and licensing regulations
Leading, motivating, and developing the team
Recruitment and training support
Handling HR matters professionally
Delivering high standards of customer service
Driving sales through events, sport, and local marketing initiatives
Supporting stock control, GP management, and cost control
About You
Proven experience in a quality-led pub or hospitality environment
Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene compliance, and kitchen standards
Confident in volume environments
Hands-on leadership style with excellent communication skills
Commercially aware and sales-driven
Friendly, energetic, and community-minded
