Position Title: Assistant Sales Manager- Events

Location: Bangalore, Karnataka

Department: Sales & Marketing / Events

Reports To: Director of Sales

Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Events Sales Manager having good knowledge of corporates to drive event sales and maximize revenue. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in event sales, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to build and maintain client relationships. This role involves prospecting, selling, and managing event space and services, ensuring client satisfaction and repeat business.

Key Responsibilities

Sales and Business Development:

Identify and target potential clients through research, networking, and outreach.

Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets and KPIs.

Conduct sales calls, presentations, and site visits to showcase venues and services to prospective clients.

Client Relationship Management:

Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients.

Understand client needs and tailor event proposals to meet their specific requirements.

Provide exceptional customer service throughout the sales process, from initial inquiry to event execution.

Contract Negotiation:

Prepare and present detailed proposals and contracts to clients.

Negotiate terms and conditions, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements.

Secure and finalize bookings with a focus on maximizing revenue and profitability.

Event Planning and Coordination:

Collaborate with the event planning team to ensure seamless execution of events.

Communicate client expectations and requirements to internal teams.

Participate in pre-event meetings to ensure all details are accurately conveyed and understood.

Market Analysis and Strategy:

Stay informed about market trends, competitor offerings, and industry developments.

Provide feedback and insights to the management team to refine sales strategies and offerings.

Develop and implement promotional initiatives and packages to attract new clients.

Reporting and Administration:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities and client interactions in the CRM system.

Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for management review.

Ensure all contracts, invoices, and payments are processed in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in event sales or a related sales role within the hospitality industry.

Skills:

Strong sales and negotiation skills with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships.

Highly organized with strong attention to detail.

Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Creative and strategic thinker with the ability to develop innovative sales strategies.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
