The office is dedicated to upholding Georgia laws and collaborating with the community to prevent criminal activity. With a focus on crime prevention, the team works closely with police and communities to develop strategies for a safer county.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Assistant Solicitor at the DeKalb County Solicitor-General's Office in Decatur, GA. The Assistant Solicitor will handle tasks related to law, conveyancing, labor and employment law, commercial real estate, and family law on a day-to-day basis to support the prosecution of misdemeanor crimes and county ordinance violations.

Qualifications

• Law skills

• Conveyancing and Real Estate Law knowledge

• Labor and Employment Law expertise

• Family Law experience

• Strong legal research and writing skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
