WHAT WILL YOU DO EVERY DAY AS AN ASSISTANT STATE PROSECUTOR?
As an Assistant State Prosecutor, you navigate a dynamic world where your commitment to justice drives every action you take. You delve into case files, meticulously preparing for the prosecution of infractions, misdemeanors, and felonies, ensuring that every detail aligns with the law and that victims' voices resonate throughout the courtroom. You collaborate with the State's Attorney, feeling a sense of pride as you support their efforts to uphold statutory duties, while your interactions with county officials and law enforcement foster a network of trust and respect that enhances community safety. WHEN WILL YOU WORK?
Join us as an Assistant State Prosecutor, where you'll enjoy a work schedule from 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BE OUR ASSISTANT STATE PROSECUTOR?
Bachelor's degree
Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
Active member of the North Dakota bar and in good standing by your start date
Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
High-quality research and writing skills
Quick analytical ability
Satisfactory performance in prior employment
Ability to accurately and precisely articulate critical issues in a case
Ability to work in a supportive and professional manner with other attorneys, support staff, and the courts
Preferred qualifications:
Criminal prosecutorial or defense experience
Civil legal and appellate experience
Law enforcement or related field experience
Knowledge of 4th, 5th, and 6th Amendments to the US Constitution
Strong desire to work in a prosecutor's office
