Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting store operations, driving sales, and leading a team to deliver exceptional customer service. Duties

Assist in overseeing daily store operations to ensure smooth functioning and high standards of service.
Support recruitment efforts by interviewing and onboarding new team members.
Manage payroll processing, scheduling, and administrative tasks to maintain operational efficiency.
Lead merchandising initiatives, including pricing strategies and product placement to maximize sales.
Operate POS systems accurately for transactions, returns, and exchanges while ensuring proper cash handling procedures.
Coordinate purchasing activities to maintain inventory levels aligned with sales trends.
Supervise staff performance through training & development programs, providing coaching to enhance skills and productivity.
Oversee store marketing efforts to attract customers and promote special events or sales campaigns.
Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to meet or exceed sales targets.
Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety regulations, and store standards.
Experience

Proven supervisory experience in retail management or a similar leadership role.
Strong background in retail sales, merchandising, and store management principles.
Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and interpersonal abilities.
Proficiency with POS systems, bookkeeping software, and basic math skills for cash handling and pricing accuracy.
Experience with recruiting, interviewing, training & development of staff.
Knowledge of marketing strategies and promotional planning is preferred.
Bilingual or multilingual capabilities are a plus to serve diverse customer bases effectively.
