Job Description
Duties
Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures
Lead and supervise staff, providing coaching, training, and development to enhance team performance
Manage merchandising efforts to ensure attractive product displays and proper inventory levels
Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to maintain high customer satisfaction
Oversee sales activities, including pricing strategies, promotional campaigns, and achieving sales targets
Manage payroll processing, scheduling, and ensure compliance with company policies
Conduct recruiting activities such as interviewing candidates and onboarding new employees
Maintain accurate cash handling procedures and oversee cashiering operations using POS systems
Monitor store budget, control expenses, and assist with purchasing decisions
Implement marketing initiatives to increase store visibility and foot traffic
Ensure adherence to safety standards and company policies at all times
Requirements
Proven supervisory or managerial experience in retail or related fields
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus
Proficiency in POS systems, cash handling, bookkeeping, and basic math skills
Experience with merchandising, pricing strategies, sales management, and marketing techniques
Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
Organizational skills with attention to detail in administrative tasks such as payroll, budgeting, and recordkeeping
Customer service orientation with excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of recruiting processes including interviewing and training new staff
Demonstrated ability in store management functions such as supervising sales staff, overseeing inventory purchasing, and implementing promotional activities
