We are seeking an Assistant Valuer with 1-2 years experience post completion of university studies, who is nearing registration as a Valuer.
Marsh Valuation Services is a specialist division within Marsh that undertakes the valuation of property plant, equipment and infrastructure assets, for many of the Pacific region’s leading corporate and public sector organisations.
In order to support our ongoing growth we are seeking a candidate with a 1–2 years' in property valuation who is looking to grow their career in property valuations.
We are seeking an enthusiastic self-motivated professional with a strong work ethic and good attention to detail. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the team providing wide-ranging advice, primarily to assist with insurance and financial reporting valuation requirements across Australia.
The successful applicant will have access to training opportunities, flexible working arrangements along with other company wide incentives.
We will count on you to:
Undertake research & data analysis to deliver valuation services for infrastructure, commercial and industrial projects
Arrange and conduct site inspections and field work across Australia, particularly in regional areas
Report & compile spreadsheets to include data transfer, formatting & formulas
Manage internal broker stakeholders and external government stakeholders
Utilise our in-house valuation program to deliver efficient and accurate valuations
Support senior staff with general valuation, research & analysis tasks
Work with the project managers to support on time and accurate delivery
What you need to have:
Degree in Property Valuation
1-2 years experience in a property valuation business or property insurance broker
Ability to obtain registration as a valuer within the next 12 months
Willing to travel both regionally and nationally
Strong Microsoft Excel skills and computer competency with excellent organisational skills
Self-motivation with a positive attitude, excellent communications skills and an analytical mindset
Strong team engagement and flexibility to pivot
What makes you stand out:
Demonstrated experience in managing internal broker stakeholders and regional government stakeholders
Experience in financial reporting, insurance and/or market valuations
Demonstration of strong logistical, organisational and analytical skills
Experience conducting property valuations, both risk evaluations and replacement cost assessments

Base Salary: $77,000 + Superannuation per annum
