Job Level : Operations Engineer (Developer lead) – Assistant Vice President
Location : Bangalore
Role Description
The role of an operations engineering manager (Developer) is to analyse, design, develop and deploy intelligent automations using any or combination of tools and techniques viz. RPA/RDA/AI/VBA/Alteryx/Python to streamline the operational functions. The role includes but not limited to:
Technology Development: Operations Engineer is responsible for analysing business cases, capture requirements, designing, developing and delivering the intelligent automations to accomplish business goals. Key responsibilities of this role include active participation in the design of their solution components, investigating re-use, ensuring that solutions are fit for purpose and maintainable, and can be integrated successfully into the overall solution and environment with clear, robust and well tested deployments.
Technology Support: Being a qualified technician the AVP will ensure the investigation and fix the issues encountered by the underlying solution to ensure no service disruption to the automated processes. According to the severity, the AVP will engage the senior developers , platform engineers and laisse with interface application IT and RPA CoE to resolve the issues
Others: The operations engineering manager (Developer lead) will be responsible for the overall delivery of the RPA projects and the performance of the team of developers.
Responsibilities / Tasks
• The lead developer or manager will be responsible for the timely delivery of RPA projects
• Manage the project using the agile methodology and SDLC framework and record all project updates using JIRA
• Conduct scrum meetings to drive projects to its success within the specified project timelines
• The manager must serve the role of design architect where required and review all projects at its code level and ensure they are in the right order,
• Ability to involve in development where required, provide supervision and guidance to development teams
• Report all projects on a timely basis to the local and global stakeholders
• Delivery of functional Blue Prism code whilst adhering to SDLC framework and departmental best practices for Analysis/ Development / UAT / Prod
• Ensure creation and upkeep of developer artefacts - Requirement Docs, SDDs, Test Scripts, JIRA tickets, KSD - post go live
• Collaborate with other software developers, business analysts and solution architects to plan,design,develop,test and maintain automation code built on RPA technologies requirements and test case needs to in order to ensure high standard of end product delivery
• Manage L2 support function for all production issues raised via JIRA ensuring that an in-depth investigation of any defects / known issues are conducted prior to raising to L3 (CoE) support group
• Represent CLM RPA and manage all discussions with core IT, L2, L3 RPA CoE to drive CLM RPA
• The candidate must be willing to learn new technologies and employ them where required and find solutions to the business problems
• The manager should foster innovation and encourage the knowledge and development of the team members
Experience / Exposure
• Overall experience of at-least 10 -15 years with experience in development and managing team of developers
• Proficient in project management, strong experience in agile methodology and thorough understanding of SDLC framework
• Hands on development experience and advanced knowledge of Robotic Process Automation is essential
• Proficiency in general IT controls, business continuity, application controls and third party reviews
• Expertise or exposure to multiple intelligent automation tools and allied tools, techniques and methods
• JAVA/.Net programming and knowledge of RDMS like ORACLE/SQL server and SQL tools are desirable
• Experience in JIRA and develop projects using agile methodology
• Exposure to visualization tools like Tableau are desirable
• Good experience in managing operational stakeholders and working with such clients
• Experience in developing solutions in investment banking domain is desirable
• Passion to innovate and desire to seek out solutions to problems
• Proven ability to prioritize competing demands and must be willing and able to work in an agile environment
• Strong and demonstrated written and verbal communication skills– to be able to manage relationships with senior stakeholders virtually.
Education / Certification
• Graduates (BTech, MCA, BCA, ) with good academic records
• Must be a certified Blue Prism developer
• Any other RPA or intelligent automation certification is desirable
• Certified in Agile methodology
• Project management certification is desirable
