Job description
Job Purpose
To interpret RBI regulations/ circulars appropriately, streamline existing processes and ensure timely, accurate submission of all returns to the regulator, reply to RBI queries and handle RBI audit.
Key Accountabilities
• Ensure regulatory reporting processes are effective, efficient and with adequate checks and controls in place. All returns are submitted accurately and in time
• Liaising with internal stakeholders for preparing the returs
• Ensure queries and ad hoc reporting requirements from RBI are answered and attended to
• Active involvement in the Automation Journey of Regulatory Reporting to help reduce manual intervention and increase efficiency
• Remain updated on Regulatory environment
Job Duties & Responsibilities
• Preparation of Regulatory Returns / Internal MIS
• Ensuring timely and accurate submission of RBS (i.e. Risk Based Supervision) and other regulatory returns to RBI
• Automation initiatives of regulatory returns and related internal reports
• Responding to queries and ad hoc reporting requirements from RBI
Experience
• Good understanding of relevant risk policies and Regulatory reporting requirements in order to ensure that the reports and the reporting environment conform to internal and regulatory requirements
• At least 5-6 years of work experience in regulatory reporting from Credit risk standpoint
Education / Preferred Qualifications
The job holder needs to be at least a post graduate. CA/ MBA / Graduate in Quantitative Finance will be preferred.

• Good analytical skills
• Good presentation skills
• Good interpersonal skills
• Good knowledge of regulations, credit processes and banking products, industries/sectors
Technical Competencies
• Good knowledge of credit processes
• Sound understanding of regulatory guidelines on credit issued by RBI (local regulations in India) and local laws and regulations that impact businesses in general
• Knowledge of various banking products and risks associated with them
• Basic understanding of Quantitative analysis preferred
Work Relationship
Need to maintain good working relationship with Internal and External stakeholders, such as Business team, Credit Control Unit, Finance team, Legal and Compliance, other product teams (GTS, T&M etc), RBI inspectors and other external agencies.
