• Location: Chicago, IL; 500 West Madison St. Suite 1205, Chicago, IL 60661
• Work Arrangement: This is a hybrid role, requiring you to be in the office 2-3 days per week.
• Salary Range: $158,500 - $237,500
Your New Role:
• Underwrite complex insurance risks based on business objectives and guidelines.
• Lead a team of product specialists across various channels.
• Support the continuous technical development of underwriters aligning with staff development plans.
• Implement reinsurance strategies to protect the portfolio effectively.
• Follow best practices and underwriting standards to manage risk and enhance efficiency.
• Stay attuned to market dynamics to drive business performance.
• Cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders to achieve desired business outcomes.
• Exemplify strong leadership qualities and act as a role model within the team.
• Contribute to the team’s business plan to enhance productivity and results.
• Assist in managing talent for future capability development within the underwriting function.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree or a combination of education and experience in a relevant field.
Preferred Competencies:
• Experience with Wholesale Brokers.
• Extensive underwriting experience.
• Strong network of customer and broker relationships.
Compensation Package: The salary range is provided for transparency and offers a competitive base salary along with eligibility for our annual discretionary bonus plan based on performance.
