Job description
As an In-House Legal Counsel at Amp Energy India's Legal team in Kolkata, your role will involve expertise in various legal functions such as Contract Drafting, Working on PPAs, EPC Contracts, Regulatory matters, Land Acquisition, and Project Finance.
• Key Responsibilities:
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating agreements including Term Sheets, PPAs with captive/group captive/bilateral consumers.
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating agreements related to Behind the Meter (BTM) and Rooftop solar solutions.
- Representations, presentations, and Regulatory Updates in internal and external forums on Electricity Act - 2003, Electricity Rule - 2005, Grid Code, Tariff Orders, ARR, Open Access Regulations, Net Metering Regulation in eastern states of India.
- Representations, presentations, and Regulatory Updates based on CERC Regulations, CEA regulations related to Renewable Energy, ISTS/General Network Access (GNA) Regulations.
- Managing title due diligence of land for establishing solar and wind power plants nationwide.
- Authentication of property title documents.
- Apprising Senior Management on land acquisition progress and title clearance, recommending future actions.
- Custodian of all legal, title, and related documents.
- Proficient in Excel for preparing milestones and cash flows.
• Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor of Law with specialization in Power, preferably from a reputed institute.
- 5 - 8 years post-qualification experience; candidates with renewable energy sector experience preferred.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to collaborate with team members locally and remotely, handling multiple tasks concurrently.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to travel nationally.
