Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing payroll, preparing statements of earnings, and maintaining accurate records.
Salary:$45,000 - $60,000 per year
Responsibilities:
Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll
Prepare statements of earnings for employees, indicating gross and net salaries and deductions such as taxes, union dues, garnishments and insurance and pension plans
Maintain payroll and ensure accuracy in calculations
Perform human resources related duties such as personnel selection
Prepare and balance period-end reports and reconcile issued payrolls to bank statements
Prepare monthly statements and T4 statements
Compile statistics and reports on employee attendance, leave and overtime
Evaluate work environments, programs and procedures to control, eliminate, and prevent disease or injury
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree
7 months to less than 1 year of experience in payroll administration
Proficient in Automatic Data Processing (ADP), Quick Books, Simply Accounting, MS Excel, and MS Word
Work Environment:
Head office; work must be completed at the physical location
