Positions in this function maintain general ledger accounts and related activities for the production of financial statements and reports. Performs account reconciliations and analyses, prepares journal entries and reviews accounting classifications, in accordance with generally-accepted accounting principles. Analyzes and prepares financial statements, including balance sheets and statements of financial position. Involved in the monthly/quarterly 'close' process. Prepares documentation in support of external and internal audits. Employees in jobs labeled with ‘SCA’ must support a government Service Contract Act (SCA) agreement.
Primary Responsibilities:
The resource should be well versed with GL Accounting, Business banking and Treasury profile
Bank Verification Letters - The resource will reach out to the bank and request an updated letter in SCA format and save the updated letter in a shared drive after providing to the SCA Team
Transaction Images - The resource will forward the request to the appropriate bank contact, keeping the requestor(s) copied, and provide the full bank account number. The bank responds with check images included with the deposit and any additional documentation
ATOM Service request: - The resource will be assigned service requests on ad hoc basis by respective UHG consultants and he has to perform the task assigned and complete the service requests
Returned Items: The resource will forward the request to the appropriate bank contact, keeping the requestor(s) copied, and provide the full bank account number. The bank responds with check images and return advice documentation
The resource has to work closely with business partners and ensure completion of all deliverables within given timelines, needs to be well versed with customer/external stakeholder communication, as required
Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:
Graduate/Postgraduate in Commerce
4 - 5 years of experience in business banking, GL accounting, bank reconciliations, treasury accounting, inter-company accounts and suspense Accounts
Intermediate Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and PowerPoint etc.
Proven proficient communication skill
Shift timings - 11:00 am-8:30 pm for month end 03:30 PM - 1:00 AM /2 pm-11 pm
Preferred Qualifications:
MBA in Finance
Experience in PeopleSoft/Blackline
