Summary

Snowflake is looking to hire an Intercompany Accountant to be a part of its world class Accounting and Finance Organization. The position requires a well-rounded individual who has demonstrated the ability to deliver results in a high-growth, dynamic, and fast-paced environment. You are versatile, analytical, motivated, creative, intellectually curious, a strong communicator and collaborator. Your responsibilities include (but not limited to) ensuring complete, timely and accurate accounting for Intercompany transactions, preparing Intercompany Balance Sheet Reconciliations accurately and following up with stakeholders to resolve open items in the reconciliations. You will work on Inter-company transactions such as Cost-plus billing / Transfer Pricing Billing, ESPP and tax Withholdings, Stock Based Compensation Cross Charges and other intercompany transactions and settlement. You will work on multiple currencies and possess strong knowledge on revaluation concepts. You will adhere to the policies and procedures of the Company and the monthly close deadlines prescribed by corporate accounting. You will closely work with the treasury team to monitor the settlement of Intercompany transactions. You are also required to provide audit support. You will be required to maintain effective internal controls and ensure accounting activities are US GAAP compliant. Additionally, there will be ad-hoc projects to help streamline and update the processes and reporting. As a member of the global accounting operations team, you will provide critical support and collaborate with the corporate global accounting operations team.

Responsibilities:
• Prepare Inter-company Transactions/Recharges and reconciliations
• Prepare Management Reports related to Inter-company Accounts.
• Check the Inter-company Clearing account balances and report issues if any. Coordinate with the relevant stakeholders to resolve the differences.
• Investigate and resolve imbalances between the entities.
• Prepare all the journals and reconciliation on time as per close calendar deadlines prescribed by the Process Owner.
• Provide support to business on request related to journal/recon backups.
• Prepare foreign exchange gain / loss calculations in regard to different currencies.
• Monitor the periodic settlement of Intercompany transactions by closely working with key stakeholders such as Treasury team
• Identify and discuss process improvement opportunities with the process owner.
• Create process documentation namely Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and update them at regular intervals in consultation with relevant stakeholders.
• Escalate issues, if any, to the Process Owner in a timely manner
• Provide support to the auditors (internal as well as external) for all the information requests and queries / questions on the information provided.
• Support ad hoc requests for preparing and providing information as and when required, such as Intercompany schedules.
• Deep dive and explain significant movements in account balances by way of a commentary (Balance sheet Flux)
• Identify opportunities for automation and accounting and process improvements and drive implementation of the solutions.
• Assist with intercompany reconciliations for statutory reporting
• Ensure transactions including capital injection, and basis for cost-plus mark-ups have proper support

Requirements
• Bachelor / Masters of Commerce, or Accounting Technician (ICAI) or Diploma in Business Administration (DBA), CA/CWA/CPA with up to 3 years of relevant experience
• Graduate with 6 - 8 years' experience with a multinational company. Experience of working in an Information Technology Company will be desirable.
• Required to work shifts to overlap with US time zones on critical days of month / quarter / year end close
• Hands on experience on Workday ERP is preferred
• Working Knowledge on reconciliation tool would be a plus
• Hands-on experience on MS office (Excel, Word etc.). Good command over Excel is required
• Proactive and problem-solving attitude.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Adapts quickly to changes in a dynamic organisational structure and business processes.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines.
