Roles & Responsibilities

Test Automation Development: Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using appropriate automation frameworks, tools, and programming languages (such as Selenium, Appium, or Cypress). This involves converting manual test cases into automated scripts to increase testing efficiency and coverage.

Script Execution: Execute automated test scripts to validate software functionality across different platforms, browsers, and devices. Monitor test execution results and analyze failures to identify root causes and report defects.

Integration Testing: Integrate automated tests into continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to enable frequent and reliable software releases. Collaborate with DevOps teams to automate deployment processes and ensure smooth integration of automated tests into the pipeline.

Data-Driven Testing: Implement data-driven testing techniques to validate software behavior under different input data sets. Parameterize test scripts to facilitate testing with multiple data variations and edge cases.

Cross-Browser/Device Testing: Automate testing across different browsers, devices, and operating systems to ensure consistent performance and compatibility. Use cloud-based testing platforms or device farms to execute automated tests on a variety of environments.

Reporting and Documentation: Generate automated test reports and provide insights into test results, including pass/fail status, test coverage metrics, and defect trends. Document automation scripts, frameworks, and processes to facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration within the team.

Continuous Learning: Stay updated on emerging trends, tools, and best practices in test automation and software development. Participate in training programs, webinars, and conferences to expand your knowledge and skills in automation engineering.

Collaboration: Work closely with QA engineers, developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on automation goals, test coverage, and quality standards. Collaborate on test strategy, test planning, and defect triage activities to optimize testing efforts and improve overall product quality.

Problem-Solving: Demonstrate problem-solving skills to troubleshoot automation failures, identify bottlenecks, and implement effective solutions. Analyze test failures, log files, and system logs to diagnose issues and propose fixes or workarounds.

Responsibility to adhere to set internal controls.
