Qualifications & experience
Bachelor's degree (BSc or BSc Hons preferred) in organic, synthetic, or analytical chemistry.
Hands-on experience with at least two of the following analytical techniques: HPLC, LCMS, GCMS, NMR.
Practical laboratory experience (including Honours, Masters, or PhD projects).
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Desirable: Experience in inventory management and logistics, particularly with export. Prior experience in analytical chemistry. Familiarity with dangerous goods handling & segregation.
Tasks & responsibilities
Sales & Shipping Management: Manage sales and shipping of catalogue compounds, including preparing quotes, processing orders, and coordinating shipments with accurate documentation.
Procurement & Inventory Management: Place orders for chemicals and consumables. Maintain stock levels for consumables, solvents, and gases. Conduct incoming goods inspections and manage supplier relationships, including price negotiations and supplier performance reviews.
Product Reanalysis: Conduct reanalysis of catalogue products using HPLC and other techniques (KF, FTIR, LCMS, NMR, qNMR). Update Certificates of Analysis (CoA) and other relevant documentation in line with compliance requirements.
Laboratory Support: Perform routine analytical work and other bench chemistry. Calibrate and maintain laboratory instruments such as GCMS, LCMS, and HPLC. Assist with other lab or office-based tasks as needed.
