Envisionit, an established and growing digital marketing agency based in Chicago, is seeking an Associate Creative Director to join our growing team. Our clients span a diverse range of industries—from consumer brands to B2B, fintech to tourism, and everything in between. We're looking for a versatile creative leader with a strong copywriting background to bring to life everything from brands to digital campaigns to large-scale web destinations. You'll work alongside a tight-knit bunch of seriously talented people who genuinely like each other, have fun and work hard for collective success. We have a beautiful office overlooking Millennium Park and Lake Michigan that serves as the perfect setting for collaboration in our hybrid environment (in office Mondays & Wednesdays).
The role:
You're someone who loves digging in deep to understand the complexities of a client's business, but can also think conceptually and lead others to do the same. You geek out about partnering with strategy to uncover insights that inspire big ideas, and you love working with media and analytics teams to stay connected to how campaigns and digital destinations are performing. You're curious by nature—eager to learn new industries, explore different audiences, and adapt your approach to fit each unique challenge. You love branding and have impressive experience in developing and evolving messaging strategies across diverse sectors. You're someone who truly wants to be a trusted partner to our clients, and above all—make a strong impact on the work, the team, and how we drive new business forward.
You will:
• Drive the creative vision and brand direction for our agency's clients across consumer and B2B sectors
• Channel research and data-driven insights into well-crafted work that delivers upon our client's strategy, business objectives and performance goals
• Coach and mentor writers and designers to take their work from concept to final execution, with support and strategic vision along the way
• Craft cohesive stories that drive emotion and inspire action across all digital channels
• Confidently present ideas and creative concepts to both internal team members and clients
• Partner with tech, media, and analytics team members to ensure our creative is optimized to meet and exceed our clients' goals
• Collaborate with the client services team to accurately estimate creative solutions within budget and time limitations, ensuring effort matches value
• Direct external partners, contractors, and consultants to support internal resources when needed
What we're looking for:
• A great copywriter, with a passion for discovering new ways to tell a brand's story that builds relationships with their audience
• 5+ years delivering high-caliber, boundary-pushing work and coaching other creatives to do the same
• The ability to shift seamlessly between different audiences, industries, and brand voices
• A portfolio that showcases strong concepting skills and project/campaign ownership
• Someone who loves diving in deep to understand your clients' business and becoming their highly valued partner
• A deep understanding of the connection between visual and verbal, and how those elements come together to tell a story

Perks, Salary & Benefits:
The salary range for this position is $115,000 - 130,000 USD. This is a good-faith estimate of the base pay scale for this position and any potential offers will ultimately be determined based on experience, education, skill set, and performance in the interview process.
