Senior Software Developer
The Software Developer, Senior job manages the software design and development for the support of enterprise-wide business intelligence applications and architecture for the purpose of directing and managing data to support business operations. Working independently with limited supervision, this job is responsible for building the software applications and programs, based on internal and external data structure, and works with enterprise-wide business and information technology functions to understand and prioritize data and information requirements. This job also coaches and reviews the work of lower level team members.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
• Leads the development, implementation and configuration of software development programs and applications to support data driven decision making across the organization.
• Optimizes the performance of enterprise software programs and applications by using business requirements to filter and index data for the user.
• Creates testing methodology and criteria to guide software development implementation for business intelligence integrations.
• Develops standards, policies and procedures for the form, structure and attributes of information technology tools to support business intelligence analysis and reporting.
• Works to develop data and information quality metrics to ensure accurate and relevant software processes and results.
• Designs and coordinates a curriculum for coaching and training customers in the use of software development tools to enhance business intelligence decision-making capability.
• Researches new technology and develops business cases to support software development of application and programs.

Job Profile:
• Individual must be from Asset Management background or from Financial Industry.
• Developing/Supporting complex efforts involving Analysis, Design, Development, and testing of various application components with-in Asset Management domain.
• Hands on developer capable of debugging the system and fixing the production related issues.
• Strong ability to analyze functional needs that drive the analysis and technical design of quality technical solutions.
• Implements solutions that are aligned with business/IT strategies and complies with Nuveen’s Architectural standards.
